As promised, here are some pictures of the cookies I made this week. Rolled sugar cookies (using
this recipe) with vanilla glaze, royal icing motifs, and piped buttercream. I had so much fun making these! I need to do this more. Enough blather - I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Your cookies are beautiful. Ever thought of opening a bakery? You know a small tea house with specialty pastry......You never know
what could happen.
...I totally forgot to make Valentine's cookies. Again.
They're all beautiful. And I want that plate...
Pretty cookies! I was looking forward to practicing my techniques with royal icing also by making and decorating heart-shaped sugar cookies for my second graders for our class party, but I ran out of time and it didn't happen. :( (I did a red-food tasting for them instead, which was neat, but wasn't nearly as artistic and fun for me!)
Cody, the plate was a steal - it's actually a saucer with a matching teacup that I got at Home Goods after Christmas. It was marked way down ($2.00 for the set!) because it's "holiday" stuff, but there's nothing explicitly Christmassy about it.
